Plan for this weekend

  • Compile all of the files into a complete video
  • Color the red bins in the videos that they are in
  • De-color the line art to match with the animations
  • Make the animations longer
  • Add any still frames or other animations if needed
  • Get background music

Background Music Ideas

Here are some links that I found that kind of work with the mood of this video. Again, what I found so far are child upbeat instrumental tune and it isn't confirm.

Progress of the Red Bin Project.

Date: 2/22/15

Yesterday, we met up and did some more progress on our project. We divided the work load so we each had a part of the project to do. Michelle and Victoria did mostly the coloring in the character. Here is some of screenshots from the progress we made. We have the animation student, the graphic designer, and the painting student.

These other screenshots show our color palette and the synchronization of the spoken words with the animation of the character movement.

These next screenshots are from the animatic that we are making for our project that was created by Michelle and Sarah. The first screenshots is from one of the opening scene in which the character is siting at home playing video games.

The next screenshot is from the moment when the parent just dropped off our character in front of the Hardie.

This screenshot is from the moment when the character is overtaken by the amount of power that comes from being on their own. It starts to overcome our character and it starts to fall on our character.

This is the color coded story board. The two colors will split the work into which program will be used. The green is strictly character animation that will be done in photoshop and then the blue is going to be flash animations.

3D modeling

The screenshots are for the painting studio. They are basically mock up of the room and show what it will look like in the end. The red bins are glowing to show the location of where they are in the studio setting.

Here is the walk through of the scene fully. It shows the way the camera is moving around the space and how it will look when all of the pieces are together.  I might fix the camera through the space. I wanted to give the sense of a person looking around the area confused and then all of a sudden, they find the box and find the other ones as well.

This will continue in the other areas. Where the camera is a student trying to find the red bins and finds them.

Here are some screenshots of the printmaking studio. It is the same idea as the painting studio. I wanted to get an appropriate lighting that is not over powering or too dark so that you could not see the surrounds.

Here are some screenshots of the Senior Studio space in 301 Cabot Street.

I used the same material for the red bins in all of the scenes. So that it would not be conflicting with weird texture meaning if one of the boxes was going to glow blighter than the rest.
